How CIPP Sewer Lining Works
NuFlow Indy is a CIPP lining company that can fix your pipes without digging up your yard. We use reliable technology to make sewer line repair or replacement quick and easy.
Our team uses existing access points, such as cleanouts and manholes, to push and pull our liner into place. This eliminates the need for digging, such as what a traditional pipe replacement would require. For most of the city of Indianapolis, an outside cleanout is required when doing a sewer line repair. It’s important to have a cleanout, and if you don’t have one we can install one for you.

Step 1: Diagnose the Problem with a Camera Inspection
Our camera goes underground to find the problems you can’t see. We’ll examine your sewer system and give you a diagnosis of any issues we find. It’s important to note that if your sewer line is currently backed up, we’ll have to open your line first by performing a sewer cleaning. This is either done with a mechanical cleaner or by hydrojetting.
After our CIPP lining company performs the cleaning, we’ll have a clear pipe for our camera so that we can see the problems clearly. We’ll review the HD video with you to provide full transparency as we explain the problem and our recommended plan of action.
Step 2: Mechanical or Hydrojet Cleaning
To prepare your pipes for an Indianapolis CIPP sewer lining, we will clear them of debris, roots, and corrosion using NuFlow Indy’s proprietary tools. This ensures the new lining, or “pipe-within-a-pipe,” will properly adhere to your existing pipes. This does not use any chemicals or require excavation.

Step 3: Insert the CIPP Liner
We insert the NuFlow Indy liner into the pipe through an existing access point. The liner cures in place creating a clean, strong, long-lasting “pipe-within-a-pipe.” When we are lining a portion of the pipe that has tie-ins, we can either gap the liner or reinstate the tie-ins.
When we gap, we ensure to cover the vulnerable joints of the fittings. To reinstate the tie-ins, we’ll use a cutting tool to grind out portions of the liner that cover up the tie-in. Once the liner is cured, we perform another camera inspection for quality assurance.
Step 4: Follow Up
After the repair or restoration is complete, our Indianapolis, Indiana CIPP lining company will follow up within 1-2 months to make sure you’re satisfied and the new system is working properly. We stand behind our work with a comprehensive warranty on most projects. Coverage details vary based on the scope and conditions, and will be clearly outlined during the quoting process.

FAQs About Our Indianapolis CIPP Sewer Lining and Sewer Repair Process
Here are some of the most frequently asked questions about our no-dig sewer repair process, CIPP liners, and more.
What is CIPP sewer lining exactly?
Cured-in-place pipe installation is a sewer construction method that requires either little or no digging to complete a given project. The rehabilitation process typically involves inserting a flexible CIPP liner into your existing pipe, inflating it, and curing the liner in place with heat or ultraviolet light. This results in your pipe being restored to a near-new condition and prevents you from having to completely replace your existing pipes.

How long will a sewer repair project take?
Most of our projects in residential areas take about a day or two, but it depends on the complexity of the issues you are facing. Commercial projects may take longer because repairs that occur at hospitals, hotels, schools, and other areas usually have special requirements that necessitate more time. To gain further insight into the timeline for your Indianapolis cured-in-place pipe installation, please contact our team directly.
How do the sewer line camera inspections work?
Our sewer line cameras are small devices attached to the end of an electronic cable. We connect the cable to a flexible wire so it can bend through any pipe and corner. The cable also has a built-in light to illuminate surrounding areas so we can clearly identify what issues the pipe is facing.
Our camera inspections give us the ability to view all of your sewer pipes and provide you with a full diagnosis of any problems. You also will receive an HD video of your sewer to ensure full transparency.
