Sewer Repair

A major sewer repair at your residential, commercial, or industrial real estate is right at the top of the list of the most expensive, time-consuming, and outright stressful property repairs known to humankind. It is an unfortunate part of life that a lot of property owners must face, especially if the building was constructed over forty years ago. At that time the sewer pipe manufacturers were using materials that simply do not last the test of time.

If you find yourself in this situation it is particularly important to be fully aware of your sewer repair choices before contacting a plumbing contractor.

The Traditional Sewer Repair Method

Plumbing companies have been taking part in the traditional sewer repair method for multiple generations. It requires the excavation of a long and deep trench that runs the entire length of the sewer pipeline in order to physically expose the sewer pipes for repair or replacement. The sewer pipeline can run hundreds of feet so you can only imagine the damage and destruction that the trench causes to your landscaping and hardscaping.

By the time the trench is excavated, the sewer pipes are repaired or replaced, and the trench is filled back in with dirt it can end up taking multiple weeks before the sewer system is back up and running. Not to mention that the landscaping and hardscaping must be repaired and or replaced which requires more time and more money. When all is said and done the traditional sewer repair method can cost well over $25,000 of your hard earned money.

The Trenchless Sewer Repair Method

Fortunately the trenchless sewer repair method was invented approximately fifteen years ago. It does not require a large and destructive trench that runs along the length and depth of the sewer pipeline. Nu Flow Technologies has perfected the process with the development of the Nu Drain trenchless pipe lining system. Instead of a trench, only a small access point is made at one end of the sewer pipeline. A high-tech machine installs a tube through the access point into the sewer pipes. The tube is covered with a felt liner that is soaked in a wet epoxy resin.

The tube also contains an inflatable air bladder. Once it is fully inside the sewer pipeline the tube is inflated, which allows the wet epoxy resin to coat the interior surfaces of the sewer pipes. The tube is then deflated and removed from the sewer pipeline. The wet epoxy resin cures in place within a few hours to form a hard, impenetrable lining or pipe within a pipe that effectively repairs the sewer pipeline and prevents future problems from occurring. The entire Nu Drain trenchless pipe lining process can be completed in as little as one day, and costs just about half the price of the traditional sewer repair method.

Nu Flow Technologies was founded at the very forefront of the trenchless plumbing industry back in 1998. We take great pride in the fact that our company has helped move the trenchless pipe lining method forward through our unique process, advanced materials, and technologically advanced equipment.
